Mary MacLennan

Biography

Mary MacLennan works with academic institutions, international organisations and governments to apply behavioural science and health economics to tackle real world challenges. She focuses on decision-making and behaviour change in health care contexts.

Having spent about half of her career in international organisations and governments; and the other half in academia as a researcher and lecturer, she has a unique perspective on challenges and insights into conducting rigorous analysis in policy settings. Mary was recently an advisor to the WHO, OECD and UN Women and is currently working with a number of UN entities to foster behavioural science application.

Mary previously worked to establish behavioural science practice in the Government of Canada's Privy Council Office and as a health economist in the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-term Care. She holds degrees from the London School of Economics and McGill University.
